Worship, your weapon of warfare

You know, the Bible is full of men and women who knew how to worship God.  We have heard many times, that Worship is a Lifestyle, and I agree with this very much.  Now, I want to present you with a type of Worship.  Worship, more than a song, is a posture, it is to meditate on, to surrender your time, your money, your thoughts to the All-powerful God the Father, but there are times when our Worship turns into a weapon of warfare.

I am convinced that music belongs to God, what is done in heaven, even from the beginning, is to sing, worship, and praise.  The bible was given to us as an instruction, it is a manual of commandments so that we know how to live a life that pleases God.  If you read the old testament you will realize that God had to put laws and commandments into place because our human nature is in disorder.  We also learn that Satan, our enemy, was music.  He didn’t play music, music came forth out of him.  One of the things he can’t stand from you and from me, is that we worship.  When you clap, when you open up your mouth and make noise, that is music, and it was exactly what he used to do.  That is why he does everything possible so that neither you, nor I, are able to worship the Lord in that way – Have you noticed the influence that music has on so many people? – Music belongs to God, music unites us, music connects us, it gives us happiness, and it also takes us to a level of worship that is deeper.  

Now, as I mentioned, there are times when our Worship turns into a weapon of warfare.  Look at how interesting:  Jericho was conquered at the sound of trumpets, and with the shouts of the people (Joshua 6:5) – it was the Touch of War.  In Nehemiah we see the importance of the Levites (musicians) in the reconstruction of the Wall of Jerusalem.  Music belongs to God, and it comes from God.  Your Worship is your WEAPON OF WARFARE…  Don’t give way to the enemy, use your weapon, open your mouth and praise, Worship the Lord, and it doesn’t need to necessarily be in the form of a song, you simply open up your mouth and let the best worship come forth to the Lord.  Believe me, when you connect yourself, you will end up with a song of Worship.  And if you have, or play, an instrument, play it for the Lord and let the sound of Worship come out and be guided by the Holy Spirit.

Fight your battles worshipping, some battles God will fight for us, and there are others that we need to fight ourselves.  In those cases, use your weapon of warfare, do not be silent, change your atmosphere with your worship, the praise will attract the King of glory, and when he steps in, everything changes, everything is transformed, the enemy has to flee, your pain will leave, your perspective will change, and your sorrow will change into dancing.
